Valerie Dore eredeti nevén Monika Stucchi


1962. május 28-án született Monte Carlo-ban (Monaco). Néhány adat: magassága:174 cm, Szemszín: barna, hajszín: eredetileg szõke, késõbb barna, Család: apja-Enrico, anyja-Liliana, fiú testvére-Georgio, lány testvére-Paola.

1978-ban, 15 évesen egy csoport tagjaként amerikai folk dalokat énekelt a barátaival. Ebben az idõben helyi bárokban is fellépett Milanóban.

1984-ben adják ki elsõ kislemezét, a „The Night”-ot. Ez a dal hamar magas helyre kerül az európai top listákon.

Szintén 1984-ben, a második kislemeze jelenik meg a „Get Closer”. Hasonlóan az elsõ kislemezéhez, a „Get Closer” is Európa szerte sikeressé válik. Stílusa elnevezést talált és „Romantic Dance”-nek, mások „Sleazy-Enegie”-nek hívják 1985-ben megjelenik harmadik kislemeze, a „It’s So Easy”.

1986-ban a „Lancelot” címû kislemeze a 36. helyre kerül Németországban. Az õ elmondása szerint egy Milan melletti kastélyban vették fel a lemezt és ez adta az ötletet, hogy felvegyék elsõ albumát, a „The Legend”-et. Az album Artur király legendáit hozza vissza. Az album zenéjét Marco Tansini szerezte, szövegét a korábban Aldo Martinelli-vel dolgozó Simona Zanini írta.

1987-ben problémái adódtak producerével, Roberto Gasparini-vel. Terveket mutatott be az új Valerie albumra. Monika-nak nem tetszett az ötlet, hogy Pop/House stílusra váltson, mert ez nem igazán az az irányzat volt, amilyet õ szeretett volna. Londonban megismerte a német producert, Ralph Ruppert-et. A férfi nagy sikereknek örvend Németországban. Ralph olyan zenészekkel dolgozott együtt, mint pl.:Jennifer Rush, Terence Trent D’Arby, Mike Oldfield.

1988-ban az elõzõ producerétõl, Roberto Gasparini-tõl rajta maradt problémái befolyásolják karrierjét. A rádióval és a televízióval való szerzõdése felbomlik. Férjhez ment új produceréhez, menedzseréhez, Mauro Zavalli-hez, akivel 1986 óta járt.

1991-ben 7 teljes hónapot töltött Madagaszkáron. Az volt az álma, hogy kiad egy albumot egy itteni csapattal.
